Flight Meetings
Stinsons Flight normally meets on the last Tuesday of each month.  The location, date, and time for each meeting are published in the monthly Flight newsletter - "The Windsock".  Usually, there are no meetings in July or in November.  Members and their guests should be clothed appropriately and comfortably for the season. Daedalian Blazers, Flight Suits and BDUs are acceptable at any event except for a declared formal event. Spouses and guests are welcome at our flight meetings.

Meeting RSVP

Please send an email to reservations@stinsonsflight.org, or call (210) 258-4143 and leave a message. Giving names of guests is always helpful.  RSVP cut-off is normally the Friday before a Tuesday meeting and no-shows and walk-ins are problems of long standing.  Whatever you can do to let us know in time whether you want to come to a meeting or not or that something has happened to you at the last moment is sincerely appreciated and helps us to control costs.  Expect a confirmation when reserving by e-mail, but we are not manned to respond to phone reservations.

Flight Scholarships
Stinsons Flight offers a number of scholarships funded by the Flight, in cooperation with the Daedalian Foundation. The goal of the scholarship program is to encourage and assist young people who are striving to attain a military commission and a military pilot rating. Typically, the winner of a Stinsons scholarship is in college, in ROTC, and holds a 3.0+ GPA, with no physical limitations that would impede their strong desire to fly with the military---at least for a initial tour of duty.

Cadet Flight Indoctrination Program (CFIP)
Stinsons Flight pioneered the Order of Daedalians Cadet Flight Indoctrination Program (CFIP). Since 2000, we have selected and trained over 25 promising high school juniors and seniors for a solo flight. This training occurs annually in the early summer. The selectees attend an abbreviated FAA ground school and receive sufficient dual instruction from FAA certified flight instructors to be cleared for a solo flight in a Cessna 172 at Stinson Field, performing three full stop landing in the traffic pattern. The candidate must be at least 16 years old by 1 June. Interested students should apply directly to Stinsons Flight. Our objective is to further the interest of young people in aviation and perhaps motivate them to serve their country as military pilots.
